The Hong Kong Film Panorama was held at the Brussels Film Museum in July 2008. This year's programme included a tribute to internationally-acclaimed director Ann Hui, with her films Boat People (16 July), Ah Kam (17 July), Eighteen Springs (18 July), July Rhapsody (19 July) and her recent, award-winning Postmodern Life of My Aunt (20 July). Other films in the programme included Kwok Chi-kin's The Pye Dog (14 July), about the strange relationship between a pupil, a school caretaker and a teacher - and Laurence Lau's Besieged City (15 July) - a social drama about a young man whose brother gets him into trouble. The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office hosted an opening reception (see photos).
