Duty-free concessions for visitors to HK revised

With effect from 1 April 2007, the quantities of tobacco and alcoholic liquor that can be brought into Hong Kong free of duty have been modified. Passengers aged 18 or above will be entitled to bring in 1 litre of alcoholic liquor, and 60 cigarettes or 15 cigars or 75 grammes of other manufactured tobacco. Liquor and tobacco are two of only four groups of commodities on which Hong Kong, a free port, charges excise duty.
