HK and the Netherlands sign tax agreement - 22 March 2010

HK and the Netherlands signed an agreement for the avoidance of double taxation on 22 March.  The agreement was signed in HK by Dutch Minister of Finance Mr JC de Jager and HK's Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury, Prof. K C Chan.  The agreement applies to taxes on income and intends to avoid double taxation as well as to prevent tax evasion.   This is the first agreement concluded by HK with an OECD member country adopting the latest international standard on exchange of information.  More info
