Government releases proposals for selecting CE by universal suffrage - 22 April 2015

After two rounds of public consultations, on 22 April 2015 the Government published its Report and Proposals on the Method for Selecting the Chief Executive by Universal Suffrage. The Chief Secretary for Administation, Mrs Carrie Lam, urged legislators to shoulder their responsibilities and vote in favour of the bill, which will require a two-thirds majority to be passed.  More info.
