Hong Kong's Legislative Council to vote on universal suffrage motion - Wednesday 17 June 2015

Hong Kong's Legislative Council will meet on Wednesday 17 June 2015 to debate and vote on a motion to amend the method for the selection of the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong SAR.  The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mrs Carrie Lam, appealed to legislators to vote in favour of the motion, so that five million eligible voters in Hong Kong can elect their Chief Executive by 'one person, one vote'; for the first time in 2017.  Message from Mrs Lam.
