"Creative Visions: Hong Kong Cinema 1997-2017" at Far East Film Festival in Udine, 21-29 April 2017

There was much to delight film fans at the 19th Far East Film Festival in Udine.  In addition to ten recent Hong Kong films, including the acclaimed "Mad World", there was a special programme of ten outstanding films of the last 20 years on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.  Iconic Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang (Infernal Affairs, Mad World) received the Golden Mulberry Award for Lifetime Achievement.  Director Fruit Chan attended the world premiere of his 1997 film, "Made in Hong Kong", restored in 4K.   More info and photos.
