Hong Kong signs wine agreement with Bordeaux

Miss Yvonne Choi, Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism) signed a landmark agreement with the Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Co-operation in Wine-related Businesses on 7 October.  The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) provides for co-operation in a range of areas, including wine-related tourism, trade and investment promotion, the transfer of technologies relating to wine storage, and manpower training. The two sides will co-operate on the organisation of a wine festival to be held in Hong Kong next year, in parallel with a gourmet food festival.  Hong Kong and France signed an MOU relating to wine on 19 August this year.  More info
