Hong Kong Signs Wine Agreement with Italy - 13 May 2009

Hong Kong and Italy signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Rome on Wednesday 13 May on Co-operation in Wine-Related Businesses.  This is the 5th similar agreement Hong Kong has concluded, after signing MOUs with  with France, Bordeaux, Spain and Australia.  Mrs Rita Lau, Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, said she was delighted that Vinitaly, the leading wine exhibition in Italy, was planning to stage a first wine roadshow in Hong Kong as part of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council's annual wine fair in November.
