Influenza A (H1N1): Information for travellers

The Government has issued some information for travellers to Hong Kong and the replies to some frequently asked questions.  The flu appears to be relatively mild and the current medical treatment is effective. Travel and business activities continue as normal in Hong Kong. There will be no quarantine of visitors who have been in close contact with a person found to have influenza A (H1N1). People with symptoms will be not be quarantined upon their arrival in Hong Kong, but they are advised to report to the Airport or Port Health officers using the health declaration form provided to passengers. A traveller found to have A (H1N1) and referred to a public hospital for public health reasons will not have to pay medical costs.
